Vanessa Cunha, sociologist and assistant researcher at Instituto de Ciências Sociais da Universidade de Lisboa (ICS-ULisboa) from GI LIFE.

BIO

On her research path two research lines stand out: one on low fertility, birth postponed, reproductive decisions and parenthood; and other on family-work balance, public politics, gender equality and masculinity. Between 2012 and 2015, she coordinated the project “O duplo adiamento: as intenções reprodutivas de homens e mulheres depois dos 35 anos”  and currently coordinates the project “PARENT- Pocriação e Parentalidade em contexto de baixa fecundidade, mudança familiar e crise económica” (2018-2021). In addition to her research activities, she is a professor of the Inter-university PhD in Sociology OpenSoc, coordinates with Magda Nico (CIES/ISCTE-IUL) and Cláudia Casimiro (CIEG/ISCSP-ULisboa), the Secção Temática Famílias e Curso de Vida from Associação Portuguesa de Sociologia (APS) and coordinates the Observatório das Famílias e das Políticas de Família (OFAP) from ICS-ULisboa.
