He participated in numerous projects at the national and international level, especially in the
fields of Social Policy and Social Protection, Migrations and Gender Equality.
He currently represents Portugal in the European Social Policy Network, acts as national social expert within the Portuguese national correspondent team for the FRA – Fundamental Rights Agency and co-coordinates the study group ‘Poverty, social exclusion and social policy’, within the Portuguese Sociological Association.
He has approximately 40 publications and e-publications: articles, books and book chapters at the national and international levels and he regularly participates, as a speaker, in seminars and conferences.
